The Office of Career & Professional Development (OCPD) provides support and career planning tools starting your first day. All 1L students take a Professional Development class where students engage in a process of self-reflection and self-directed learning that acclimates students to the culture of the legal profession, educates students on the various areas of practice, and equips students with the tools they need to pursue their goals. It is during this class that you begin to develop a relationship with your career advisor, who remains your coach and guide throughout all three years of law school.

Beyond the classroom, the OCPD provides a range of tools and resources including, but not limited to:

  • One-on-one career advising

  • Career programs and workshops

  • Self-assessment and career instruments

  • Access to a network of alumni

  • Interview preparation and mock interviews

  • Job search resources

  • Access to job listings

  • On-campus and off-campus interview programs

  • Summer internship and judicial clerkship searches
