The Wake Forest School of Law's application consists of the following components:
- Application
- Personal Statement
- Imagining Your Future Essay
- Resume
- Transcripts (from all higher education institutions ever attended)
- Letters of Recommendation (1 required, up to 3 accepted)
- Optional Essays:
- Wake Forest University's motto, Pro Humanitate.
- Why Wake Forest?
The strongest applications are usually those that are cohesive, with the different pieces working together to give the most comprehensive view of you. For example, a personal statement may provide a little of your background and the reasons that you want to pursue law school while the optional statements build on that background information and the reasons you want to attend Wake Forest. The optional essays are a maximum of two pages and give us a better sense of you as an applicant. We recommend their submission if you have something substantive to add that hasn't already been covered elsewhere in your application.
Each of the application components are generally working towards one or both of the following: a) your academic fit and potential for success in law school, and/or b) your fit in the community at Wake Forest Law. If you have thought through how each component supports those two basic principles, you’ll have a strong application. The other obvious suggestions are clean formatting and no spelling or grammatical errors.
